Your Questions About Morality And Law Uk

John asks…

Should the Church still be consulted regarding issues of morality in the UK?

For example, should they be involved in any debates on the following topics:

Immigration
Gay Marriage
Social Welfare (Minimum Wage, Benefits (etc))
Sunday Trading Laws
Education and Curriculum content in schools.

Thanks for your thoughts.
@ dav3DLEG

I agree with the points that you’ve made. It does seem foolish to prevent trading on Sundays when our society is not entirely religious. Also, I agree that homosexuality is absolutely not a choice. Infact, it is one of things I criticise people for stating.

Pip answers:

I don’t know that the actual church building will be that vociferous one way or another. Maybe the christians inside the building do care–but why listen to them any more so than any other group, or anyone else?

Laura asks…

several questions (relationship advise/morality)?

I’m 16 and my girlfriend is 14, i said yes when she asked me out as a dare, but stayed after learning she was a nice girl, after about a month she pretty much forced herself upon me, which kinda started a trend of fairly regular sex (protected) which leads to the first question, can i now get in trouble for that with the law (uk) even if it started while i was 15, secondly do you think its right personally that we are doing this at our age? also she got an implant a little while ago, but i’m still sceptical of ejaculating inside her, more because i think it’d discust her rather than a lack of trust for the implant, any advise on that? and finally she wants to try anal, how should i go about this and can it feel good for both people?

Pip answers:

USA here. In America, a 16 year old boy will not be breaking the law by having sex with a 14 year old. However, I do not know the law in Britain! BEWARE! Find out what the law is before you continue.
Do I think it is right? Morally, you mean? If both of your bodies are ready for it and you are also both emotionally alright with it, then it’s fine. Although, waiting would be better for everyone, especially if you’re a Christian.
Disgust her? The girl that “forced” herself on you? Well, at 14 she might freak out if she SEES it, but I don’t see her freaking out from you cumming inside of her, no.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HAVE ANAL AT THIS TIME!! SHE IS NOT READY PHYSICALLY!!
I’m sorry, but please do not hurt her. You will do permanent damage to her inside. This is not the answer you were hoping for, but it’s the correct one.

Advice with uk perjury laws?

I have evidence recorded on a dictaphone on a private telephone conversation between myself and my ex wife admitting that she committed perjury in regards to claiming her other ex had broken her arm. The trial ended around a month ago and this recording also hears her saying ‘ I dont care if you tell someone. ‘ – he could have ended up in jail

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place of morality, she has a child that lives with her and I have a child that is ours living with me.. my daughter would go mental if she ever found out I got her mum arrested, my ex tells her everything even though she is only 10 ( very long story ).

Should I report her, what is the punishment likely to be and would a dictaphone recording in a private conversation stand up in court ?

thank you
thanks for your candid answer Joanne, and believe it or not you really dont realise how right you are with your description of her, but a little off the mark with regards to everything else, I met her at 19 and she was not like she is now, she got far worse over the course of 10 years.

Pip answers:

You give the recording to the other ex, and then you wash your hands of it. It is not like she lied about YOU assaulting her. The real question is, how did you not see this toxic shrew for what she was BEFORE you knocked her up. Were you thinking with your little head or your big head?

Thank you badge for that lovely and intelligent answer, unfortunately if you were that smart you would know that this board covers the UK and the U.S, how silly do you look now ?

I am pretty sure if a 13 year old had answered they would have given a more intelligent answer than you have.

Pip answers:

Since you are asking about UK law why are you on the US board?

Do you think there is an United Kingdom attorney just hanging out on the US board (or even the UK) waiting to answer your question?

If you are that concerned call an International law lawyer do not come on Yahoo to ask a bunch of 13 year old kids

Sharon asks…

UK CRB check by employer?

Just for the UK. I’ve just now, couple of weeks ago finished my fixed contract with a company that should have done an enhanced CRB on me due to me having contact with young people (no swearing from people who hate me on y/a) i do know that they’ve recently changed the laws in the UK so that each time you change job you have to have a new CRB done but that does not seem to be the case or companies don’t seem to follow this legislation because for each job that is advertised they ask that you are in date (within a year) of an enhanced CRB from your last employer to be even considered for the job.
Having spoken to my last employer who did make me fill out a CRB before and during my employment with them, informed me in a very cold manner that they never sent out CRB’s because of lack of funding, putting to one side the morality/recklessness of these actions i cannot apply for one myself so what can i do in this situation?
On one side it angers me that they are putting in danger the y/p that attend that centre by not doing CRB’s like in my case people who work there, but on the other hand i don’t want to take away the centre because it does help the more disadvantaged youths that do attend it and i do sort of care for the centre.

Pip answers:

Hi

I know what you mean.

Some companies do not do CRB checks, they expect the mention of a CRB check in the job description would put off those with criminal records from applying for the jobs.

When something goes wrong and the police becomes in involved is the only time the truth is brought out in open.

Kind regards

Al
